Assignment Criteria: Wiki Content


Each PLN’s section of the wiki must include the following:
  1. Main Page: Intro to PBL (set up by Mrs. Langston)
    1. Title
    2. Contributors’ Names
    3. Introductory Paragraph(s)
      1. What is Project-Based Learning?
      2. Why use PBL in Education?
    4. Bullet List
      1. Planning a PBL Lesson (cut & paste from the Support Page; add/edit as needed)
    5. Resource List
      1. 4-5+ links to PBL informational websites (each member should contribute 1+ link; DO NOT USE the links provided by Mrs. Langston on the Support Page)
  2. Subpage 1: Brainstorming (set up by you)
    1. Title (NOT “Subpage 1”)
    2. Brainstorming process: posts, links, and/or images
  3. Subpage 2: Original PBL Activity (set up by you)
    1. Title (NOT “Subpage 2”)
    2. Project Description (overview)
    3. Product (outcome)
    4. Curriculum Connection (standards met)
    5. Driving Question (the “big picture” question)
    6. Technology Integration (identify all technology to be used and describe how it will be used)
      1. Note that all PBL planning steps are not required. Including the other steps is optional.


Assignment Criteria: Wiki Design


Each page of your wiki section must follow these design principles:
  1. Information is organized with headings, subheadings, body text, page dividers, bulleted and/or numbered lists.
  2. Font faces, point sizes, and colors used on all pages are consistent.
  3. At least two graphics appear on every page. “Graphics” refers to clip art, photos, videos, audio files, embedded web apps, graphs, charts, animations, word clouds, avatars, etc.
  4. At least 10 wikilinks (either internal or external) are present, spread out amongst the group’s pages. These wikilinks are IN ADDITION to the Resource links provided on your Main Page. (“Wikilinks” are hyperlinked words leading you to another page with information about that word or topic presented.)
